During the 1930s, the film company Kinocentralen also produced a range of commercials for Stomatol. Almost in every one of these feature-like films, the actor Thor Modéen starred.

The commercials always ended with him declaring that, "Stomatol is the one and only toothpaste." But generally they were rather improvised scenes, where Modéen acted and played out his entire register from really bad behaviour to never ending laughter.

The reason for him to star in the many Stomatol-films is not quite clear. He was very popular of course, and his jovial performance was attractive to the Stomatol-image. But it is also said that Modéen was always available, as these commercials seem to have financed his somewhat extravagant nightlife.
